“Uncle Doctor Shuai, I miss you so much!” Lele buried her head in Qin Siting’s arms, inhaling deeply, looking very upset.
Mm, Uncle Doctor Shuai smells great, and his arms are warm.
Qin Siting’s clear and intelligent features slightly shifted as he lowered his head to look at the soft baby’s head in his arms. He found the little girl’s speech somewhat amusing: “Did Shi Kele ask me for the phone at kindergarten?”
“Uncle Shuai, my name is Lele. Just call me Lele!” Hehe—this name feels very close.
“Okay, Lele.” Qin Siting laughed softly, his expression focused. “How did you get here?”
“I came with Weiwei. Weiwei is my good friend. I accompanied him for the check-up so he can go home with me soon!” Lele answered without hesitation.
Old Zhou listened and laughed: “Go home with you? Little girl, you can’t just say that. Weiwei’s parents are still here!”
“Hmm, then I should go home with him?” Lele was confused. “The teacher said we need to use ‘with’ when going home together.”
“Hahaha, Old Qin, this child is so cute—I can’t stop laughing!”
“You came here just to have fun? Take the child for the check-up, and I’ll watch the photos you take.” Qin Siting held Lele in one hand while opening the case file in the other, giving Old Zhou no extra attention. “Find some experienced nurses in the laboratory department—kids are sensitive and might feel pain.”
“Okay, then I’ll take the child first.”
Lele watched Weiwei and his parents follow Dr. Zhou out, waving happily: “Keep it up, Weiwei! I’ll wait for you here!” Then she smiled foolishly.
Finally, a private moment with Uncle Shuai, the doctor!
“Why are you so happy? What’s so joyful?” Qin Siting couldn’t ignore the little girl’s joy.
“Because Lele saw Uncle Shua, Lele was happy!”
Qin Siting’s eye twitched sharply, and his breathing became slightly chaotic. He never realized before that his focus could be so difficult to maintain.
“Lele,” Qin Siting said softly, “Uncle needs to work now. Can you sit on the sofa over there and play by yourself for a while? Wait until your friend comes back.”
“Hmm, okay then. Lele will play with Uncle Shua after he finishes.”
“Good girl. There are some fruits on the coffee table—take some and eat it by yourself.” Qin Siting watched as Lele quietly sat down on the sofa before turning back to his computer.
The consultation room became quieter, but this calm didn’t last long as an elderly woman in the hallway called out urgently.
“Uncle Shua, it seems Grandma Xiang is calling me,” Lele murmured softly while sitting on the sofa.
Qin Siting put down the black pen in his hand and focused his attention on the small child on the sofa again. “Is someone from your family coming to see you?”
“It’s my Grandma Xiang,” Lele didn’t fully understand what “family” meant and repeated the familiar word.
Qin Siting nodded, walked to the door of the consultation room, and opened it to follow the voice.
In the hallway, a familiar figure reflected in his calm, still eyes.
Auntie Xiang also saw the man leaning against the door frame and rushed over quickly. “Hello, doctor. Have you seen my Lele? Just—”
“She’s inside. Please come in.”
It seemed like Aunt Xiang didn’t expect her speech to be interrupted, so she couldn’t help but look up at the tall man in front of her.
The man stood up straight and waited at the door, as if waiting for her.
Why is this doctor so cold… yet his figure feels strangely familiar.
The old woman was eager to find Lele, so she followed the man into the room without much thought.
As soon as she entered, she was hugged tightly by the cute little bundle.
“Grandma Xiang Yig, Lele misses you so much!”
“Where did you run to, little girl? Grandma Xiang Yig is looking for you. Do you know how worried she is?” Aunt Xiang looked at the sad small face and couldn’t say even a word of scolding.
“Lele came with a good friend. She didn’t run away.” The little girl in her arms clearly didn’t agree.
“Go back with grandma quickly. Your mom is about to get off work and come home. If we come back late, your mom won’t have hot food or dishes, and her stomach will hurt again.” Aunt Xiang patted Lele’s delicate nose and smiled, “Say goodbye to Uncle Doctor. We’re going home!”
Lele wanted to stay a little longer, at least until Weiwei came back, but the thought of her mom’s little plan vanished instantly.
“Uncle handsome doctor, Weiwei has come back. Can you explain to him that Lele will come back when she has time? Now I need to go home—”
“Yes, go back.” Qin Siting replied gently, placing his hand in the pocket of his white coat, his eyes fixed on Lele’s face without blinking.
“Hehe, Uncle Shuai, you’re the best!” Lele turned and ran to Qin Siting’s feet, smiling as she looked up and tugged at the edge of Qin Siting’s white coat. “Uncle Shuai—”
“Hmm?” Qin Siting bent down, meeting the face full of collagen on the doll-like face in front of him.
“Bop—” Lele hugged Qin Siting’s long neck, laughing foolishly and kissed his left cheek like a child, then jumped back to Aunt Xiang’s side to hide. “Uncle Shuai, I’m going now, bye—”
“Yes, see you, Lele.” Qin Siting sighed.
“Doctor Qin.” Aunt Xiang finally recognized the man standing in front of her.
Qin Siting, the young man who had been tied up with Nian for many years—how could she not recognize him?

The young man has now grown up and became an excellent doctor.
“?” Qin Siting looked at Aunt Xiang. “Any questions?”
Aunt Xiang didn’t know what to say for a moment. Seeing Qin Siting’s gaze fixed on Lele, she instinctively turned aside to block half of Lele’s body.
“Lele is my niece. I’ve been taking care of her these past few days.” Aunt Xiang paused, then continued, “She’s too spoiled. If she causes any trouble for Doctor Qin—”
“No problem. She’s very well-behaved.” Qin Siting turned away with a calm look, saying nothing more, and sat back down in the rotating chair behind the table.
Seeing that Qin Siting had nothing more to say, Aunt Xiang also stopped talking, bent down, and led Lele away from Qin Siting’s office.
……
Xiang Yi holds Lele with one hand while carrying an empty thermos bottle with the other, slowly walking toward the parking lot. “Lele, after you go back, don’t mention your handsome doctor uncle in front of your mom. Got it?”
“Why?”
“Because… your mom will be jealous. She’s afraid you might like your doctor uncle and then stop liking your mom.” Xiang Yi thought for a long time before coming up with such a clumsy reason, speaking it out loud while silently thinking in her heart.
Ah, if Nian was here, she probably wouldn’t want Lele to meet Qin Siting either.
“Hmm, mom isn’t that stingy. Grandma really has no tolerance!” Lele laughed heartily. “If mom finds out, she’ll ask me to show her the handsome photo of the doctor uncle so we can share it together. Mom also likes handsome boys!”
“…You little kid!” Xiang Yi smiled helplessly, picking up the tiny girl and putting her in the nanny’s car.
……
Top floor of Shida Group.
“President Shi, Wen Assistant said that the first deal for Shida returning to Haicheng must involve a well-known enterprise in Haicheng. Otherwise, this first opportunity won’t work—” The assistant repeated what Wen Assistant said, standing next to Shi Niange.
“The Mo and Qin families are the two best-developed families among the four major families in Haicheng. The Ji family can also be considered for cooperation due to their marriage alliance with the Mo family. We must seize this opportunity—it affects whether Shida can establish itself firmly in the country.”
Shi Niange paused momentarily, supporting her thin chin with both hands, then slowly raised her head to look at the Qin family’s company brochure: “The Qin family… who is taking over now?”
“I’m not very clear about it, but it certainly isn’t Qin Siting, the Crown Prince of the Qin family. Young Master Qin has given up business to become a doctor, and it’s likely his uncles who are now in charge.”
The meeting room fell silent for a moment, then a delicate female voice spoke again.
“What does Wen Ke say?”
“Wen Tezhu suggests sending emails to both the Qin and Mo companies first to check the situation.”
“Then do as he says—send the emails first.”
“Okay, Director Shi, I’ll arrange it right away.” The assistant seemed to want to say more, but seeing the girl sitting behind the desk with her eyes closed and leaning back in her chair, clearly tired, stopped talking and quietly left the meeting room.
The large meeting room suddenly became empty and quiet, a strange kind of silence.
In a place with no one, the girl slowly opened her just-closing eyes, her gaze drifting toward the corner of the ceiling without making a sound. At this moment, no one knows what’s on her mind, this skilled woman in business.
What’s coming will still come—Qin Siting. Could this be another kind of fate for us?
Qin Siting, Qin Siting…
