First Kiss Diary - Chapter 27
Avoiding the media’s trap interviews, after returning, Jining packed her luggage and boarded the plane to G city with Nono. Along the way, Nono showed her a few screenshots, from a group chat of some staff members, where many people were discussing Jining’s “can’t cry” response, unanimously praising her intelligence and authenticity.
Jining tidied her hair under her cap and casually replied, “Fans follow their idols.”
Nono’s pupils dilated, “You have idols too?”
Realizing she had slipped up, Jining’s eyes flickered as she hastily improvised, “Einstein, you didn’t know?”
Though Jingshiyan’s fondness for her shouldn’t have been such a tightly guarded secret, she was currently being splashed with dirt, and she feared that revealing her fan identity might affect him. Although the possibility was small, it still existed. To temporarily avoid spreading the news, she could only do her best to keep it secret, as the more people who knew, the less safe it was. Even friends could unintentionally let it slip, especially when drunk, so she needed to maintain control.
“Your idol is Einstein??” Nono’s mind conjured up the image of the man sticking his tongue out in physics books, and her expression became complicated for a moment, “You’re quite a special girl.”
To disguise herself as a fan of Einstein, Jining downloaded a documentary and pretended to watch it on the plane. It turned out that apart from Jingshiyan, no man could keep her gaze on the screen for more than an hour. Ten minutes later, she fell asleep.
The plane flew for ten hours before landing. Although Jining had slept on the plane, it wasn’t very restful, and her head was still a bit dizzy when she got off.
The car quickly took her to the scene, where a makeup artist also gave her a simple makeup touch-up. Jining picked up the mirror and found that her dark circles were still visible, so she applied some concealer.
Unexpectedly, the program team had prepared costumes for her, including a somewhat familiar dress, which she thought might be a famous design from a designer, so she put it on directly.
The driver was a bit slow on the way, and Nono, seeing they might be late, got angry and made a few remarks, prompting the driver to speed up.
Getting out of the car, Jining found she was the last one to arrive. In addition to her, there were three other guests on this episode of “Unknown Travel”. Jining had checked their profiles last night, but today, there was an additional guest she hadn’t seen on the list yesterday.
The extra person was Jiang Yao, a relatively transparent actress. If she hadn’t played Jining’s classmate before, Jining wouldn’t even know her name.
The program didn’t have a script and soon began recording. With three regular MCs and five guests, including Jining, there were a total of eight people, divided into two teams for a competition by the seaside. Jining’s team consisted of one regular MC and two guests.
The first competition involved wearing water cup hats on their heads, taking a cup of water, and then going through various obstacles on a log bridge. The team with the most accumulated water at the end would win.
The competition had four stages, with one person responsible for each stage. The person responsible for the last stage had the most pressure and difficulty, as they had to endure various torments while holding the last bit of water, which was the team’s hope but also easy to fail.
Except for Jining, the other three all had waist injuries and were not suitable for intense exercise, so the last task was left to Jining.
The staff put the hat on her, and the game began. The first person poured water into the second person’s cup until it reached a certain amount, then the second and third person exchanged cups back to back, and the third person passed the water to Jining.
Although Jining had to face the pressure plate and the log bridge, she managed to complete her task quite well. However, because the coordination between the first and second runners wasn’t good at the beginning, their team fell behind.
In the crucial last round, Jining rallied herself to pass through, but unexpectedly, a small crack opened in the middle of the log bridge, and feathers waving out tickled her bare feet. Jining was really afraid of being tickled and couldn’t control her reaction.
She laughed and jumped off the bridge. Suddenly, she felt like her earring was about to fall off. Since she liked to touch her ears when nervous, she instinctively raised her hand, and coincidentally heard a snap. Her hand had just caught something.
Jining called out, “Director, the strap of my hat broke.”
The staff were stunned for a moment, then quickly brought a new hat over, transferred her water, and fastened it for her. The competition continued. Jining, somewhat proud, only spilled a little water from half a cup, and in the end, her team miraculously turned the tide and won this round.
The MC on the opposite side issued a tough statement, “You won’t have it so easy later.”
The second competition had a bit of product placement taste to it. A travel photography company sponsored the show, so the guests needed to collaborate with celebrity photographers to complete the shooting. Then, the Polaroid photos they took would be used to swap items with passersby on the spot. In the end, the team with the heaviest total weight of swapped items would win.
In one group, there were ten Polaroid photos. Two female artists had reshoots, and Jining was the last, so she only had one chance to shoot.
“We should finish shooting early so you can do your task. Find a comfortable pose to ensure the picture turns out well,” the photographer said.
Jining nodded, about to pose, when she heard the photographer say, “Sit on that stool and use that bubble machine to blow bubbles.”
She instinctively wanted to agree but then hesitated.
If she remembered correctly, Sun He had a set of photos that were decently popular, with a similar pose described by the photographer, and the background was a pool.
These days, even copying someone’s airport outfit would lead to criticism. Yet, the photographer wanted her to directly replicate a photo representing Sun He on the show, with clothes so similar—was he trying to stir up controversy for the review team?
Sensitive to Sun He’s name, Jining vaguely asked, “Can I have some creative freedom?”
The photographer, clearly aiming to promote himself and the brand, replied, “Let’s stick to my plan.”
Seeing his somewhat stiff expression, Jining shrugged noncommittally. When she sat on the chair, he took it as consent and hurriedly began, “Okay, three, two, one—”
At the last second, Jining quickly changed her posture, half-kneeling on the chair, squinting slightly with her hand blocking her eyes, leaving a beautiful profile.
The photographer exclaimed, “What’s going on?!”
Jining rubbed her eyes innocently, saying, “I don’t know… Suddenly, the wind blew sand into my eyes.”
She suddenly mentioned the wind, making the photographer lose his momentum to interrogate her. Still, he couldn’t help asking, “But why was there wind?!”
Jining shrugged innocently and indignantly, even joining in the blame, “Exactly, how did the wind suddenly appear?!”
Feeling that something was off, the photographer furrowed his brows, shook his head, unable to pinpoint what was wrong.
As they talked, the Polaroids were being developed. Jining took a look and smiled, “You’re really good at this. With such skills, I’m sure I’ll get the best items.”
The photographer choked on his words, watching the girl walk away, his frown deepening.
In this situation… how was he going to explain to his superiors?
Jining wandered along the bustling street, hearing about a shop selling vintage knick-knacks. She thought there might be customers there who’d be willing to trade heavy items, so she decided to take a look.
Just as she passed a lively shop, she stopped for a moment, only to be startled by someone rushing out.
The person approached aggressively, “What’s the matter?”
Jining thought, I wasn’t looking for you anyway.
But she politely replied, “I have some photos here. Would you like to exchange them for something heavy?”
“No,” the woman in front scowled, “Go away, don’t obstruct my business! With so many people blocking the way, how can I do business?”
Jining was about to say she was just passing by when the woman snapped again, “I said there’s nothing I want to exchange. Stop bothering me.”
Throughout the encounter, Jining, who hadn’t said a word, was baffled.
Who was bothering whom here…
With cameras filming the scene, the woman looked only a few years older than her, yet why was she so hostile? Jining was about to say something when she noticed a microphone pinned to the woman’s collar.
A microphone was used for recording sound, and only those arranged by the program team would have one.
Suddenly, Jining understood everything.
If she were to anger the woman, the consequences could be dire. There might be malicious editing, portraying her as a selfish and uncultured nuisance. So, she simply flashed the sweetest smile in history, “Then I’ll take my leave. Wish you good business, Auntie. Goodbye!”
The 25-year-old “Auntie” was almost spitting blood in anger: ???
In the end, Jining found an iron craft to take back. However, their team’s items were relatively light, while the other team had someone carrying three weights, resulting in a tie.
—
Due to the exhausting morning shoot, considering that the members all traveled by plane, there was a lunch break in the middle of the program. Everyone could rest in the lounge for forty minutes and gather at 1:30.
Just as Jining sat down in the lounge, there was a knock on the door, and a staff member asked her to hand over her phone.
“To prevent you from contacting the outside world, have you handed over your phone?”
“Just now, didn’t we collect it over there once?” Ji Ning said, “I paid.” The staff nodded and exited.
Ji Ning leaned back into the sofa again, wondering why she bothered to collect her phone. Was there still a clue in the lounge? As soon as this thought crossed her mind, she began searching, not even sparing the seams of the sofa. But the result was nothing; the entire lounge was empty.
Ji Ning took out her phone to check the time. She hadn’t handed over her phone because there was no clock in the room. Although the production team said they would arrange for someone to call them, she always felt something was off today, so she kept an eye out. Earlier, she just threw her phone case into her bag, pretending she had handed over her phone.
At 1:20, she faintly began to hear voices. She had intended to wait until someone called her before leaving, but even though it was nearing 1:30, there was still no movement outside. Ji Ning went to the door and found that there was no one there. Outside, she could hear the guests chatting.
Ji Ning thought for a moment and decided to go out through the fire escape. Going around to the front door would take too long, risking being late. Fortunately, she had a habit of checking fire escapes. Just as she was about to leave, she heard the MC calling out names one by one. There was a pause before her name was called.
“Ji Ning?” Ji Ning quickened her pace. Did they want to portray her as a lazy person wasting everyone’s time? Impossible. “Here!” The girl’s voice was cheerful, her ponytail swaying behind her. It was exactly 1:30, not late at all.
For some reason, Jiang Yao, who had been present in the morning, was nowhere to be seen in the afternoon. According to the staff, Jiang Yao left midway through the program because she couldn’t stand the filming. Ji Ning doubted this. Someone like her who plans her schedule a day in advance was already considered late. Jiang Yao must have confirmed her schedule earlier than her, so why was her name on the call sheet but not Jiang Yao’s? Could it be that Jiang Yao was not originally part of this variety show? But Jiang Yao was indeed present. Did Jiang Yao only sign up for half a day, so they didn’t bother to include her name? But then why tell her that Jiang Yao couldn’t stand it and left?
The more she thought about it, the less sense it made, as if she had entered a dead end. The beach soccer and bumper ball matches soon began, and Ji Ning was distracted by her thoughts, stumbling when someone came to disturb her. She shook her head and focused on the game.
The games were physically exhausting all day, and both sides ended in a draw. On the plane ride back, Ji Ning felt an inexplicable exhaustion throughout her body. The flight today was slightly delayed.
Ji Ning absentmindedly scrolled through her homepage, accidentally liking her own post a minute ago… She felt dizzy, feeling like she hadn’t liked the post just now. Was it an accidental touch?
The plane was about to take off, forcing her to switch her phone to airplane mode since there was no WiFi on this flight. After turning off her phone, fragmented images appeared in Ji Ning’s mind. In the last segment of the first game, it seemed that only her balance beam had feathers. After she said her belt broke, the staff subconsciously pulled out a new hat, as if they had been prepared in advance.
At this moment, Nono, who had finally bought the seat next to her, took out a blanket and handed it to her: “I just found out that our company has invested in this program, and the boss invested in the name of Sun He. I really think… it’s a relief that you came back alive.”
Suddenly, those blocked areas seemed to clear up in an instant— If the camera didn’t focus on the feathers, and the hat didn’t break, could it be said that she didn’t take the game seriously and laughed throughout the whole process, so the hat broke because of her laughter, affecting the entire group? If she annoyed that inexplicable person, what kind of editing would the production team give her? If she hadn’t found it strange to keep an eye out, slept through not seeing the time, how long would everyone have to wait?
Jiang Yao’s disappearance seemed to deliberately suggest to her that if she felt tired, she could leave at any time, but what kind of persona would the program give her then, was no longer guaranteed. It was as if she only realized after escaping the tiger’s den how many hidden dangers were behind her. Ji Ning suddenly shook and asked Nono, “Does the company know my Weibo password?”
“Yes, you’ve had a backup in the company for a long time, and you haven’t changed your password.” That like just now… was most likely done by the company.
“That praise just now… it’s very likely that it was bought by the company. Why did they log in to her Weibo? During the long flight, Jining was completely unaware. Her account posted a video share, then deleted it in seconds—
‘Ji Shiyan actually publicly said that the most beautiful actress he has cooperated with is Jining. This ‘variety show CP’ looks so much like a couple in love!’ Within half an hour, it trended to the top, and Jining’s Weibo was flooded with criticism.
Even real couples dare not openly post videos. Firstly, it’s easy to be accused of hype, and secondly, the on-and-off relationship inevitably leaves behind a bad history, which is embarrassing. Today is not the promotional period for ‘First Kiss Diary’, yet such a ‘CP promotion’ video appeared on Jining’s Weibo and was deleted in seconds.
The commentary in the video was so exaggeratedly awkward that in the eyes of the public, it seemed like a small account pretending to be someone else and forgetting to switch accounts. No one likes actresses who ride on hype, especially when it’s Ji Shiyan, who has the most fans among the bystanders in the industry.
Moreover, many envy and resent her CP hype with Ji Shiyan, so seizing the opportunity to vent is natural—
‘The first actress to personally come forward and smear the top star, how ugly.’ ‘The way you delete your posts looks pathetic, but the way you smear others looks beautiful.’ ‘Hmph, I used to say you didn’t hype your CP, turns out it was because you didn’t care about low traffic before. Now that you’ve finally encountered the top traffic, you’re unwilling to let go of your blood-sucking grasp?’
‘Damn, our little scheming princess finally shows her true colors. She used to claim she was indifferent to the world and came out to take the hit.’ Naturally, fans spared no effort to refute the rumors, saying that at that time, Jining had just finished recording the variety show and was flying back, so she couldn’t have posted on Weibo.
But it was like a stone falling into a pond, causing only a faint ripple on the surface, too shallow to deepen, and already smoothed out by the wind. Some bystanders simply don’t want to know the truth; they just want to prove what they already believe to be the truth.
In the age of entertainment unto death, rumors are destined to spread faster than the truth. When Jining got off the plane, she was still trending, and the topic fermented overnight, still firmly ‘exploding’ at the top of the trending list this morning, indicating that the heat was indeed high.
Clicking into it, there were no longer fans’ clarifications, only criticisms and suppressions. Even the incident a few months ago where she took the blame for Sun He didn’t capture her face in the media; everyone just mistakenly thought she was the female lead, and there wasn’t a single piece of solid evidence for the subsequent scandals.
But now, what comes out of her Weibo is as solid as it gets. With the capital controlling the water army, public opinion is overwhelmingly negative, and some even directly tag the production crew of ‘Starry Night’ to request her dismissal.
Even the neutral onlookers find it thrilling: ‘Is there no twist anymore? It’s been so long since I’ve had such a spicy gossip. Last night, Weibo almost crashed. Did the Zhihu programmers stay up all night to rush this? Haha, how hard!’ ‘Being able to stand at this position is indeed for a reason.
It seems that Jining is a good hand at manipulating things behind the scenes, but it’s a pity she crashed publicly this time. Are there any netizens who can dig up her previous scandals? It would be very exciting.’ ‘Appearing innocent on the surface but sucking blood countless times, if she were a novel antagonist, it would be quite thrilling.’
Jining asked Nono for a plane ticket. Since there wasn’t enough time to go out, she took a photo at the airport to prepare for a Weibo post, only to find out that the program group of ‘Unknown Travel’ had also posted a Weibo ten minutes ago:
‘The recording for Season 5, Episode 7, was already completed the day before yesterday. The list circulating online has some discrepancies, please refer to the actual list.’… The day before yesterday?!
‘Is this program crew crazy?’ Nono was also shocked. ‘Wasn’t it recorded yesterday? Did I lose my memory? How come it’s the day before yesterday again?!’ After a brief thought, Jining said, ‘To prevent me from refuting it.’
In the previous few hours, she was probably busy contacting other artists to ask them not to mention it. Since the program was recorded abroad, not many fans followed, and generally, fans wouldn’t make a fuss about when it was recorded.
By specifically stating that it was recorded the day before yesterday at this critical moment, the only person affected was Jining, turning her fans’ efforts to refute into a joke for a few hours.
Indeed, with investment, things are different. Miss Sun can already manipulate the program group to hammer her black materials. Sure enough, some people started commenting:
‘Jining’s fans, keep washing, keep washing. Wasn’t it said that your master couldn’t post on Weibo after returning from the plane ride after recording the unknown travel? Ji Xiaolan didn’t say a word.
You might as well name your drama queen master Ji Xiaolan, with her surname preceding yours, snatching romance.’ ‘Officially refuting rumors is the most fatal haha, I’m acting like I’m passing out from laughing.’
‘The travel program crew: We can’t stand Lemon Sister’s nonsense anymore.’ Nono crumpled the baggage claim slip in anger: ‘This program crew is really interesting, aren’t they making a scene?!'”
“Sun He is the one making trouble, everyone is just going along with her,” Ji Ning said. “When Assistant Huang Miao notified me, I heard someone talking on her end. At that time, I couldn’t tell who it was, but just now I listened to Sun He’s interview, and it was her voice.”
“She’s convincing Huang Miao to let me follow the route of Lai Yujia’s association. Even if I get criticized, it’s still traffic. More traffic means more money for variety show invitations. The reason I’m suitable for this route is―― before the airing of Rose, many marketing accounts were criticizing me, but the more they criticized, the better Rose’s results became.”
As long as she used a little bit of her brain, she could already imagine their conversation.
“Whether Rose is good or not has nothing to do with those marketing accounts criticizing. It’s because the script is good, no matter what, it will be a hit,” Nono said speechlessly.
Ji Ning said, “But Huang Miao was persuaded by her.”
Or maybe Huang Miao herself didn’t have the right to refuse.
Missy has a big temper. She had caused a scene before when her father didn’t agree, threatening suicide. Who in the whole company would dare to provoke her? Everyone was afraid of getting involved in any bloody matters.
As for the program team, if it’s said that sending Ji Ning over was Sun He’s arrangement, then it’s not surprising that they would cooperate with her.
As Ji Ning thought about it, she suddenly laughed.
It’s too absurd. With so many people believing in such ridiculous things that are almost like calling a deer a horse, it’s ironic.
There was a large group of entertainment reporters blocking the airport entrance. They had already investigated Ji Ning’s attire before boarding the plane, with the intention of not giving up until they got a headline-worthy news.
Nono also had no choice but to say, “Let’s find some bodyguards to get us out of here.”
Seeing Ji Ning not speaking, she pushed Ji Ning, “What’s wrong? Why aren’t you speaking?”
Ji Ning bit her lip, “I seem to have some ideas.”
To prove that she wasn’t the one who posted the blog that day, she first had to expose the lies of the program team.
The program team claimed they recorded the day before yesterday. What’s more coincidental is that there was indeed a variety show recorded here the day before yesterday―― but yesterday she heard someone complaining that the variety show team from the day before yesterday was littering everywhere.
So if evidence could be found of a certain program team littering the day before yesterday, wouldn’t everyone assume it was the team from “Unknown Travel”? “Unknown Travel” is a national variety show, which greatly affects its audience base. Presumably, they wouldn’t want to gamble with future ratings. There would always be someone stepping forward to clarify.
At that time, the public would be curious about why the “Unknown Travel” program team lied, and she could take this opportunity to tell the truth.
Although the success rate was very low, she could only try this method for now.
Fortunately, Ji Ning was good at English. She contacted the park where filming took place yesterday and found out that there were indeed surveillance cameras. The contact number and address left by the program team the day before yesterday were fake. The park couldn’t be reached, but they did capture the program logo on a mobile phone case of a staff member.
Ji Ning explained her identity, and the park remembered her. They trusted her. She communicated with them via Instagram, saying she could help them figure out who littered, and the park provided her with surveillance video footage of the littering incident.
Next was to spread the word.
Ji Ning took a deep breath. She didn’t have any major entertainment accounts in her hands, so she could only…
She called Ji Shixi.
After four rings, the call was picked up, “Ji Ning? Have you landed?”
How did he know she was on the plane? Did he also know about that matter?
Ji Ning pinched her brow. Oh well, with such a big matter, who wouldn’t know?
“Yeah, just landed not long ago. It’s about the thing I wanted to ask you… Do you have any major entertainment accounts you often cooperate with? I want to post something. Can you give me their contact information? I need it soon, and it’s okay if it’s a bit expensive.”
“What do you want to post?” he asked.
It seemed like he had them. Ji Ning felt relieved, “A program littered at the recording site the day before yesterday. I want to find out which program team did that and prove that ‘Unknown Travel’ was indeed recorded yesterday.”
“Okay, give me what you want to post, I’ll pass it to Jiang Sheng. We’ll contact you on WeChat later.”
“Okay, thank you.”
“No need.”
Almost every artist’s team cooperates with entertainment accounts with many fans, which is convenient for promotion and occasionally debunking rumors.
Ji Ning knew Huang Miao would also have them, but they were currently on the opposite side of Sun He, so she could only seek help from her artist friends.
After asking Ji Shixi, she suddenly remembered Sheng Qiannight, Lin Luosang, and Zhuo Gong. She messaged them all.
Ji Shixi had cooperation with twenty accounts, Zhuo Gong with eight, Sheng Qiannight with twelve, and Lin Luosang also had ten.
Jiang Sheng’s work efficiency was very fast. After polishing the draft Ji Ning sent, those twenty accounts began to send out posts one after another.
Sheng Qiannight and Lin Luosang were also arranged in about ten minutes, and Zhuo Gong went to find his own friends, contacting about a dozen accounts to post together.
“Unknown Travel” had a high national viewership. Littering abroad was indeed a disgraceful act for the country, so the heat surged up immediately, and online condemnation flooded in:
[“Not only is each episode of the show getting worse, but throwing two big bags of garbage directly by the pool? Is this something a human would do?”]
[“I’m not watching anymore.”]
【I’m not looking anymore.】
【I feel embarrassed just watching, although it should be the fault of a few people, but it’s the production team and the Chinese people who lose face. If you don’t know basic etiquette, then don’t run around, okay?】
【So, saying that the recording was completed the day before yesterday was a “preventive injection” against the “trash hot search” for us? The production team is really mysterious.】
【There’s too much drama, I’m about to explode.】
Soon, a very prestigious official account also posted a Weibo about recent garbage sorting, emphasizing the importance of paying attention to garbage hazards both domestically and internationally, seemingly warning about the garbage incidents trending online. This official account is quite influential, messing with them is not a good idea.
So, netizens began to turn against them again—
【Dad is here hahaha @UnknownTravel, come out and apologize!】
【Apologize quickly, otherwise the next step is to criticize you by name, and you might even get banned from the show.】
【When you do something wrong, you have to admit it, and when you get hit, you have to stand up straight. Stop pretending to be dead, UnknownTravel!】
One hot search after another came up, and “Unknown Travel” realized they couldn’t continue to shoulder such a big blame. Despite the risks, they had to clarify, after all, compared to being criticized to the core, Sun He’s investment wasn’t that important—
【The on-duty editor made a mistake, the program was recorded yesterday, and all the garbage has been packed.】 Attached was a picture of garbage sorted in a phone album, showing the date as yesterday.
So, as people dug deeper, they discovered that the program recorded the day before yesterday was actually “Wonderful Journey,” the archenemy program of “Unknown Travel.” The two had a deep connection, with “Wonderful Journey” being basically a copy of “Unknown Travel,” but poorly done, so it wasn’t as popular. However, “Unknown Travel” had also publicly clashed with them a few times, so now some people were confused—
【”Unknown Travel” never used to post about the end of recording, but today they inexplicably did, and it turns out they were blamed for “Wonderful Journey”? Weren’t they archenemies? How come they suddenly seem so intertwined, is it natural to love when you hate so deeply?】
【@PerplexingBehaviorAwards】
【I’m so confused! Why would they post such a Weibo to make themselves uncomfortable? Can someone explain?】
Soon, Ji Ning’s fans were finally able to speak up—
【Curious why “Unknown Travel,” which never posts on Weibo, suddenly does, even risking criticism by falsely claiming the recording was two days ago? The answer is simple, pairing today’s top trend with the clarification on my homepage gives you the answer.】
【Let me make it clear, someone wanted to target Ji Ning. When that CP Weibo was posted, she was on a plane, she didn’t post it. To make it seem like she did, someone contacted the production team saying it was recorded two days ago, so Ji Ning wasn’t on a plane back to China last night, and they could say Ji Ning personally fueled the CP. How should I put it, it’s either clever or stupid.】
【Poor Ji Ning, she had no idea she was being criticized for over ten hours.】
A certain internet influencer also checked the IP of Ji Ning’s CP Weibo, showing it was sent from a certain mansion, further confirming it wasn’t Ji Ning herself. When the spectators saw the truth, they spontaneously pushed the clarification to the top.
【Damn, who did she offend? She’s been getting heavily criticized recently.】
【Those who were just cursing Ji Ning must feel so embarrassed now.】
【I’ve always said Ji Ning wouldn’t do such publicity stunts, who would want to give her such a character?】
【Even the dumbest female star wouldn’t use her own account for this, let alone Ji Ning, who is so smart.】
At this point, an hour and a half had passed, and it wasn’t clear if the situation could be considered resolved— but at least it was resolved to some extent.
Ji Ning walked around the airport duty-free shop, saw a small pot, and decided to buy it.
Nuo Nuo looked puzzled: “Why are you buying this?”
Ji Ning raised the pot over her head with both hands and tilted her head: “Take a picture of me with it.”
Nuo Nuo took the picture for her, and Ji Ning quickly posted it on Weibo: 【Not long after getting off the plane, my head is still a bit dizzy, not sure what to do, so let me perform a scapegoat act for everyone. [Image]】 Below, fans created a scapegoat emoji for her: 【Ji Ning’s scapegoat check-in today 1/1】 …
The matter of Ji Ning being the scapegoat was resolved, but everyone knew that Ji Shiyi had once praised her beauty in an interview.
Just after Ji Shiyi finished one interview, the next interview team came in one after another, and the host’s first question followed the hot topic.
“You previously praised Ji Ning’s beauty in the ‘Autumn of Time’ interview, why did you say that at the time?”
There was no ripple on the man’s face: “Because she’s naturally beautiful.” But after a pause, he added: “But compared to her other qualities, beauty is the least noteworthy.”
