Bowing Only for Him

A glamorous bar. Xu Nanru walks through the noisy crowd, impeccably composed and solemn, his expression cold. The instant Yi Xi raises her eyes and sees him, she is completely dumbstruck. A friend nudges her arm and laughs, “Nightclub queen, why did you stop dancing?” Yi Xi ignores her, looking at the newcomer with a miserable expression. “M-Mr. Xu, hello.”

At the school's 100th anniversary celebration, Yi Xi returns to her alma mater with her classmates. A former roommate looks at the young man standing at the lectern and sighs, “What a waste of such a handsome face. He's so serious—how is he ever going to find a wife?”

Remembering the previous night's passion on the sofa, Yi Xi smiles and says, “You don't know? The more proper and serious someone seems, the more flirtatious he is.”

Reader's Guide:
1. A non-typical teacher-student story (they get together after graduation; there is no question of corrupting the younger generation!).
2. An unserious female lead and a serious male lead.
3. The university is fictional; don't read too much into it.
